"got the message?" is a series of do-it-yourself-cards based on shadow casting panels. Each card contains multiple punched "dots", which encode two images. The images are initially hidden, and become visible only after the recipient pulls up the dots and illuminates the card appropriately (see how it works for more details).
"christmas" is a another prototype of a -card, made with a cutting plotter.

"Eureka!" was prepared for Swiss Science Center Technorama, on the occasion of our cooperation on Schattenbilder project. It is available in a limited edition of 500 copies, individually numbered and signed by us.

Initially the front side of a -card looks empty and clear, apparently without any image or message — only a bunch of punched "dots" is visible. These dots can be pulled up with a spiky tool (e.g. a tooth-picker), to stand out perpendicularly to the card surface. In such position they drop shadow when appropriately illuminated. To discover the message encoded in the card follow these three steps:

step 1: bend
step 2: pull up
step 3: enjoy!
